The European Union delegation in Albania has denied claims published by the portal Syri.net alleging that EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato removed names from the OSCE/ODIHR’s preliminary election report.
In a statement, the EU delegation said the reports were false and emphasized that OSCE/ODIHR election observation findings are independent, impartial, and based solely on verified data from observer teams.
The EU warned that disinformation could undermine public confidence in democratic processes as Albania approaches its May 11 parliamentary elections.
