SNUBBED: EU stays silent as anti-Vucic protests explode in Serbia

The EU has kept its mouth shut as student protests against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic grow bigger by the day.

Civil society groups are begging Brussels to take a stand, but instead of EU flags, the streets are now filled with Serbian nationalist symbols. Organisers have banned EU banners from demonstrations, while extremists have jumped in to push their own agenda.

With tensions rising, many Serbs are asking: Is the EU scared of upsetting Belgrade, or does it just not care?
