EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato has hailed Albania’s latest step toward EU membership, after the country received €64.5 million in pre-financing under the bloc’s Growth Plan.
“Congratulations to Albania on reaching another important milestone on its EU path,” Gonzato said. “The Growth Plan boosts the economy, strengthens the rule of law, supports a greener Albania and empowers human capital.”
The funds aim to back reforms and investments that push the country closer to joining the European Union. Gonzato underlined Brussels’ full backing: “The EU stands with Albania on its journey toward membership.
